In 2014 I was commissioned by Daisy Froud and You&Me Architecture to run one of my workshops in Thornton Heath as part of the community consultation programme in advance of a project to ‘restore’ a number of shopfronts along the street. The workshop turned local people into contemporary archaeologists, using their in-depth knowledge of the place they live in to investigate and describe a material evidence base to direct the project.
